  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I reside in the Vicarage house – I have a Curate Resident with a Salary of forty five pounds a year and Surplice Fees. He serves ye Parishes of Malbro' & Huish. No Lecturer.

  2. Other benefices: I have ye Vicarage of Yealmpton in the Deanry of Plympton.

  3. Divine service at other churches: I perform divine Service at West Alvington & Milton.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Every morning with a Sermon at W: Alvington. Every afternoon with a Sermon at Milton.

  5. Frequency of communion: Never less than 4 Times a Year – Communicants at W: Alvington about fifty at Milton about Ten.

  6. Catechising of children: Sundays afternoon or morning.

  7. Church fabric: W: Alvington & Milton in good Repair – Chuch yards are well kept. We have all Things decent for divine Service.

  8. Glebe terrier: A Terrier was given in in ye year 1745 and I believe once Since.

  9. Number of families: The parish is so large I cannot say with any Certainty what number. Milton is small.

  10. Chapels: W: Alvington & three Churches or Chapels (viz) Malbro' Milton, Huish make one vicarage.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: No papists – no meeting house in W: Alvington or Milton.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: None.

  13. Charity: I know of none.

    Priest's orders and institution: Thomas Pyle vicar of West Alvington was ordained Priest in ye year 1738 – Decr: 17.
    He was instituted into ye vicarage of West Alvington together with the chapels of Malborough Milton & Huish April ye 23d 1742 into the Vicarage of Yealmpton with Revelstock annexed May the 30th 1758.
